The mantra at King William Road’s newest modern Italian eatery is La Dolce Vita (enjoy life). Husband and wife team Federico and Laurie Godi have certainly taken this to heart with their handcrafted menu that showcases everything from signature cheese wheel Italian pasta Adelaide dishes to grilled steak, Scottish seafood and wholesome salads. A highlight is the live entertainment, which ranges from jazz to R& B and classical. Customers also love the flambée desserts and the bold Italian coffee. The restaurant also offers a private dining room for parties of 25 or more.

Melt

This relaxed Italian diner in Prospect Road mixes Euro-kitsch with top produce and simple flavours. It’s a favourite of locals for low-key in-house dining or weeknight takeaway. The namesake red-sauce pasta with anchovies, pangrattato and kalamata olives is a go-to.

Lui’s menu is inspired by his hometown (Pozzuoli), family and travels to Italy. He knows cured meats like the back of his hand, so you can expect new menu items to be rolled out through the deli soon.

Italian-born husband-and-wife duo Paolo Rosina and Ilenia Scuderi are behind this modern pizza, antipasti and pasta restaurant on Henley Beach Road. The menu focuses on traditional Neapolitan pizzas, plus other dishes, including grilled vegemite soldiers and lasagne pizza. For dessert, don’t miss the ricotta cannoli.

Pizzeria Favaro
